RBC TECH
AUDIO ENGINEER
TRAINING COURSES
Unfortunately, I only have a limited amount of time with our audio engineers in the booth on any Sunday morning. In order to ensure all of our engineers have the basic training they need to execute a Sunday morning with excellence faithfully, RBC Tech has elected to purchase a course through Worship Sound Guy.com that teaches you everything you need to get started in church Audio Engineering. Having been through this course myself I found it to be a wonderful resource and an excellent primer for more specific training.

All Audio Engineers are required to complete the training course.

MIX METHODOLOGY
Once you have the basics of Audio Engineering The RBC Mix Methodology is a further training tool that is used to teach how I personally mix.

Audio Mixing is as much an art form as it is a science. Meaning most engineers mix differently and have different preferences which is OK! However, we do need some sort of standard in order to measure our mixes against to ensure the basics are in place. That is what this tool is. The Mix Methodology breaks down the method I use to mix while the Mix Methodology Checklist offers a tool for real-time evaluation.

VOLUME POLICY
Please take an opportunity to read through and understand our volume policy here at Redemption. It is important for each engineer to know the limits of how loud we are allowed to go. The main purpose of which is to serve our congregation. Our current standard of 89dB(A)-fast maximum is well below OSHA standards. If ever asked about our policy please politely offer them a copy.
